NET-NUTRALITY

  • The fundamental issue underlying the debate on net nutrality is not putting compaines in positions to manopolize the operation of the internet.
  • Google and Ebay are in favor of net nutrality. They feel that every website should be treated the same and it wouldnt be fair for websites ran by compaines with more money to be deliverd faster than up-and-coming websites.
  • At&t Verizon are opposed to neutrality. They feel that who ever has the most money should be able to run the internet. At&t really feels this way because they dont mind manopolies, as they're trying to buy every phone company around. Comcast has recently been accused of blocking P2P file sharing during peek hours, thus violating the laws of net nutrality
  • I feel that the internet is just fine how it is. its not bothering anyone, and if net nutrality is ruled against, who knows how the net will be. it goes back to the old saying, "if it aint broke, dont try to fix it".
